About This Game The Highscore is a non-stop action Shoot ‘em up with old school graphics in which you have to survive by defeating waves of enemies, accumulate points and reach the highest score possible. But to do so, you can only count on five lives, various powers and your own skill.You control a spaceship firing various types of lasers, depending on your progress in the game. Gain more firepower as you kill bosses, and collect special powers to deal more damage or protect yourself from the constant waves of enemies.The Highscore is a pure arcade game developped around the "Die and Retry" concept. You shoot, you survive and you go as far as you can. Our main goal is to make sure we have a stable build when we release the update. We are calling the 1.1 Update the Scavenger Update. The major addition to this update is radioactive cities to the game. The player will be able to craft and get a hazmat suit from the survivors. You can use the hazmat suit to enter the radioactive zone within each of the 20 cities. It will be an area where you can spend a very limited amount of time scavenging, it is a high risk, high reward area in the game. Apart from this various new mini games have been added to the game to make it more engaging. Especially for when the train is moving, lockpicking and chopping down trees.We have fixed numerous bugs and issues players have experienced earlier. We want the game development process of The Last Train to be transparent to all the members of the community. We will constantly be working on the game to be better and better. The Last Train Happy New Year! Scavenger 1.1 is out and IGDC Nomination: The scavenger update of the game is finally out, it will also contain a lot of the issues mentioned by the community. The major area of focus in this update was the addition of the Radioactive cities and radioactive suits. You will now be able to craft hazmat suits, which will allow you to explore parts of the city with heavy radiation. You will be able to get a lot more rewards from the buildings in that area since they will mostly be untouched by civilians.Apart from this we've added a few mini games to which will reward you for successfully completing certain tasks like driving the train, chopping wood and lockpicking. As far as the fixes go we have made crafting a lockpick easier for the players, the balance for the food has also been fixed. The drop rates of iron ores have been increased so you can craft iron ingots and upgrade the train to have more passengers, improve fuel efficiency and most importantly the inventory spaces.Finally we've also reworked the inventory system to support more stackable items in it. We noticed that a lot of the players had an issue running out of space in the inventory. Adding stackable items will allow the players to have more items at their disposal in their inventory right from the get go. However we made sure that making this change didn't really affect the balance of the game.Our team is hard at work on the next major update which will be focussed on exploration. Version 1.0.1 is out!: We are super excited to announce that our team has completed the first major update with all the fixes. We've addressed some of the major concerns that the users have had over the past few days. We are a small team of 3 developers we're trying to be very proactive and fix things as and when they appear.In this update we've fixed a problem with the inventory, now you'll be able to stack all the items including tools on top of one another in the inventory. Right clicking on an item will remove an item from the inventory. Upgrading your inventory is also easier now, we've balanced it so you won't be needing too many materials to upgrade them. Apart from that we've improved the pacing of the story mode as well, to make the gameplay a lot better, you'll feel each passing story break will have a lasting impact on how you play the game.Minor Bugs- UI Issues have been fixed.- Issue with the crafting has been resolved and we've also changed the crafting indicator to a green icon instead of the red whenever you have all the items necessary to craft items.In case you have issues starting the game, please uninstall and reinstall the game.. All aboard The Last Train: Our team over at Smash Game Studios is super excited to announce the launch of our new game The Last Train. The game has been in development for quite a while. It has been a crazy experience to get from start to finish.We've been hearing feedback from all the players who had access to the game earlier, we've done our best to address most of the concerns by making the game more engaging by increasing the speed of the progress.We also felt the price of the game at launch was too much so we've decided to reduce it so more players can play the game.We are a team of 3 developers, we are doing our best to fix issues as and when they arise. In the first update we've pushed post release we've included support for Linux version and added controller support for the game along with a few other UI issues.We've already planned a road map ahead for how we want to continue development of the game. We are planning to add a new game mode. Where the primary focus of the story will be managing logistics of moving materials and resources from one part of the country to the other. The events of that takes place after the main story mode is complete.
