Unhappy residents commit raids and other criminal offenses or simply leave the town.The happier the residents of your town are, the more popular life in your town will become and more and more colonist will join you. If your town experiences famines, illnesses or lawlessness, the residents of the town will turn their backs and the streets will resemble a ghost town.DangersThe Wild West is dangerous! Dozens of challenges must be faced. There are different areas in which your residents can settle down - however, each of them is known for its own challenges. While in the desert the food and water supply remains a difficulty, in the snowy areas you can only resist by a constant supply with fire wood.Another danger comes from the surrounding animals. Even if most animals avoid humans, you should be cautious with wolves or bears. They can cause heavy injuries to your residents or kill them.Also surrounding camps and bandits can become dangerous. This game is possibly the worst game I have ever encountered, as far as load times are concerned. It takes 6 plus minutes to do the initial load and 6 plus minutes to load a save. It seems to get worse as you grow your city. On my last load, I stopped it after 20 minutes. I have played the Anno series, and while there is so much more happening, across the map, it loads wayyyyyyy faster. The mechanics and gameplay of this game are good and I was really getting into the game. But, because of the aforementioned problems I find it unplayable. This is the first time , out of the dozens of games I have bought from Steam, that I am wanting to ask for a refund.A really good and interesting game that suffers through poor execution.If the game developers solve this problem, by all means buy this game, it is really a lot of fun.If they don't, leave them in the dust-bin of of game history.. buildings dont want to rotate i wish the resorce bar was bigger all in all its promising. Game is just awesome. If you liked Banished you will definitely fall in love in Depraved :) It got so much content and it just came out in EA. It could only get better :). Can not recommmend this game quite yet. For an EA game it's really EA... It's gonna need alot of work before its any fun to play. The economy, resorse consumption, even the passage of time in the game are all out of wack making it a pretty lame game as of now. I have a enough hours in the game to see that im done with it until some major updates are done. SAVE YOUR MONEY! But if you're interested check back in a couple months.. I am excited for this to become more polished, have more features, and hopefully a campaign or scenario editor at some point. This seems pretty far along for an early access game, and while I did encounter a crash-on-save that lost some time, I've enjoyed my time with Depraved so far. This might actually be an early access game I stick with! I've been craving a city builder lately, and this one has relatively simple rules and sort of reminds me of Tropico-lite, but cowboys instead of communists. Overall, if you're feeling like playing a cowboy city builder, this is a good one and I can only assume it will get better as it gets closer to 1.0.. After about 3.5 hours in, the game seems to have a lot of potential. You can definitely see the influence from games like Banished in the game, and it has a certain charm that's hard to ignore.However, right now the map is a huge negative for me. If you're using WASD for map movement, D should be East but moves South, and W should be North but it moves East (and opposites for remaining directions). Even just clicking on the minimap and moving the visible area results in an oddity of hand-eye coordination that is infuriating. You can manually rotate to address this, but it feels wrong.Also, the forced dependence on AI can be frustrating at times. Gunslingers will sleep at night so if Bandits attack in the evening...you're absolutely helpless and can just sit by and watch in the early game as they burn your entire town down. There doesn't appear to be a way to provoke townsfolk to engage in quelling fires (that I've found), so ultimately a poor luck timing scenario can literally end your game.I'll keep playing, as I'm a fan of the genre and am super excited about a Wild West themed variation. I hope Evil Bite puts forth a visible effort in continuing to develop the game and are willing to review feedback when doing so. I would recommend the game if you're a fan of the City Building & Survival genres, but if you're on the fence definitely wait for a sale while it's in Early Access.. This game is tragic. Not only did it take me 2 hours to get it working. I played for a while built a big town, boom disease hits kills basically everyone! i had a pop of around 150 all together. 3 doctors buildings! 4 undertakers and cemeteries. I liked it until this happened. It took me an age to get anywhere (not complaining about that) just how it all ended lol. Its worth a try but think its a waste of money. Its not in the same league as banished. Game needs a lot of work if Im honest. Oh yeah make sure you make a load of jewellery or the merches will just run around and shoot everyone! Then disease will kill the rest. It has a lot of good ideas but it needs so much more work! Nothing can keep up with itself once something goes wrong. No fixing the problem????? Reallly?????
